The Association has played a vital role in the development of field experience programs across Alberta since their inception over 60 years ago. Field experiences create conditions that recognize and promote teaching as a reflective and collegial practice. The Alberta Teachers’ Association along with institutions offering teacher preparation programs and the Government of Alberta share in the commitment to foster these opportunities.
This website responds to the diverse needs of cooperating teachers, student teachers, school leaders, university facilitators and teacher preparation program partners.
